A foreigner who wants to visit Bangladesh for the purpose of tourism or casual visit to meet friends & relatives or to join in a seminar/conference/workshop/study tour or religious purpose etc, they are eligible to apply for tourist visa. Except the mentioned purposes of the application, no other activity is permissible on a tourist visa.

1. Printed copy of duly filled in online VISA application form and signed accordingly or filled in (manually) Visa application form;
2. Signature of applicant in application form within the signature marked area
3. Recent passport size colour photo- 2 (Two) copies with white background;
4. Original Passport (valid for at least six months with minimum two blank pages ) with a photocopy of photo page;
5. Invitation letter from any Bangladeshi citizen along with the copy of his/her valid Bangladesh Passport or National ID Card / invitation letter from any Bangladesh organization / hotel booking confirmation.
6. Evidence that you can support yourself during your trip, such as last three month's bank statements or payslips.
7. Reservation of air ticket (if possible).
8. The applicant needs to submit the application in person and pay visa fees as required (Visa Fees Chart)

A tourist visa may be issued for maximum three (03) months duration with single entry. Extension up to one (01) months could be obtained from the Department of Immigration and Passport (DIP) in Dhaka, Bangladesh.Please note that the validity of the visa begins from the date of issue and not from the date of travel on your application form

Once the Bangladesh visa has been granted, then a printed copy of visa sticker will be attached on an entire page in your passport. Please check the details carefully for any spelling mistakes and or validity etc
